By any measure the North Desoto Softball team steamrollered their way through the 2022 season and on over all opponents in the championship bracket.  The Lady Griffins are the state champs.  In the state tournament along, North Desoto scored 71 runs while allowing all opponents combined only 8.

The Lady Griffins are the 4A State Champions.  Saturday afternoon they scored 11runs against Franklin Parish while allowing them only a single run.

Sheriff Jason Richardson and Staff said, “Congratulations to our North DeSoto Lady Griffins Softball.  They are taking home the state trophy.

The Lady Griffins demonstrated with their bats that they are the overpowering champions in 4A Softball.  Here is how they fared in the championship bracket.

April 15 – shut out Tara 15-0 in Bi-District.

April 21 – defeated Rayne 16-1 in Regionals.

April 23 – defeated Cecilia 11-1 in the Quarterfinals.

April 29 – blew by Eunice 18-5 in the Semifinals

And Saturday April 30 – conquered Franklin Parish 11-1 to win the crown.
