October 15th is the date for the Plant Swap held at the LSU Ag Extension Office. Extension Agent Joshua Salley passed along details in a flyer.
There will be two guest speakers scheduled for the event. Keith Hawkins of the LSU Ag Center will present “Honeybees and Industrial Hemp.” The other guest speaker is Huel Jones of Truevine Nursery. His topic will be Small Lumber Production – Transforming Unwanted Yard Trees Into Family Heirlooms.
The event will be from 9:00 am until Noon at the Ag Extension Office on US 171 in Grand Cane.
