Stanley High School is celebrating one of its students after he earned multiple honors while representing the school at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Camp this summer in Dubach.
Chance Robertson was selected to attend the prestigious leadership development program, which brings together high school students from across Louisiana to strengthen leadership skills, build lasting relationships, and prepare for future success.
Throughout the camp, participants engaged in activities designed to develop essential life and leadership skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, and servant leadership.
Robertson’s dedication and positive attitude stood out among his peers, earning him both the Collaboration Award and the Future Leader Award. The honors recognize students who demonstrate exceptional teamwork, contribute positively to group activities, and exhibit strong leadership potential.
Stanley High School praised Robertson for representing both the school and the Stanley community with excellence.
“Chance’s accomplishments at RYLA reflect the character, leadership, and commitment to excellence we strive to develop in all of our students,” school officials said. “We are incredibly proud of the way he represented Stanley High School throughout the program.”
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program has helped develop young leaders for decades by providing students with opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence, and develop skills that will benefit them in college, careers, and their communities.
Robertson’s recognition highlights not only his personal achievements but also Stanley High School’s ongoing commitment to developing student leaders who are prepared to make a positive impact both inside and outside the classroom.
