Hot temperatures continue across DeSoto Parish; rain chances increase midweek

DESOTO PARISH, La. — DeSoto Parish will continue to experience hot conditions this week, with temperatures reaching around 100 degrees before rain chances increase Wednesday night and Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will be sunny and hot with a high near 100 degrees. Southwest winds will be around 5 mph. Wednesday night will bring a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, followed by a chance of showers after 10 p.m. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent, with a low around 77.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and hot with a high near 97. A slight chance of showers will be possible before thunderstorms become more likely after 10 a.m. The chance of precipitation is 50 percent. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. and a low around 74.

Friday will be mostly sunny and hot with a high near 97. There is a 20 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m. Friday night will be mostly clear with a low around 74.

Saturday will be sunny and hot with a high near 97, followed by mostly clear skies Saturday night and a low around 75.

Sunday will remain sunny and hot with a high near 97 degrees.
