DESOTO PARISH, La. – DeSoto Parish Schools is celebrating five outstanding educators and staff members who have been selected as the district’s 2026–2027 Teachers of the Year, New Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year.
The annual recognitions honor individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication, leadership and commitment to student success while making a positive impact on their schools and communities.
District officials announced the following 2026–2027 honorees:
Elementary Teacher of the Year: Kristen Dufour – North DeSoto Upper Elementary School
Middle School Teacher of the Year: Amy Petriello – Stanley High School
High School Teacher of the Year: Hayley Deas – Logansport High School
New Teacher of the Year: Kaitlyn Williams – Stanley High School
Support Staff of the Year: Treena Davis – Mansfield Elementary School
Each recipient was recognized for their contributions to the district and their commitment to creating a supportive and engaging educational environment for students.
The honorees represent several schools across DeSoto Parish, highlighting the dedication of educators and support personnel throughout the district.
From inspiring students in the classroom to providing essential services that help schools operate successfully, the recipients demonstrate the important roles teachers and staff members play in the educational experience.
