The Wolverines gave a valiant effort versus the sixth ranked Winnfield Tigers.

The final score was 41 – 28 with Winnfield scoring two touchdowns in the final quarter. Leading the Wolverine attack was Ry’Kelon Van Zandt with 113 yards on 10 carries. Scoring touchdowns for Mansfield were Van Zandt with a 68 yard run, Dekeldrick Thomas with two rushing touchdowns and Terrance Pegues with one rushing touchdown.

The Wolverines will travel to Red River this week looking to pick up momentum and to receive a playoff berth.
