Members of NAUW Mansfield Branch joined Forgiven Ministries at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel, LA for their One Day with God Camp. NAUW members served as volunteers who joined incarcerated fathers and their children for a day of fun and fellowship. Activities included games, singing, a birthday party, a father daughter dance, a father son wisdom walk, etc. We were grateful to be a part of such an impactful event.
Also this week one NAUW member read to a kindergarten class at Mansfield Elementary in observance of Read Across America Day/Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Thank you Velma White for your willingness to serve the kids in our community.
