Louisiana Watershed Region 4 is asking residents in DeSoto and other parishes along the western edge of the state for their experience with flooding.  They said, “It’s time to reevaluate our approach to flood mitigation.”

Did you know in the last two decades, Louisiana has experienced 28 declared floods and hurricane-related disasters costing more than $16 billion in public assistance?  Impacted were residents & business owners in west Louisiana parishes.

Complete a short, confidential survey about your personal flood experiences and/or share the survey with your contacts.  It is being done online.  Data collected will support regional and statewide funding efforts for projects to reduce or eliminate these incidents.
