Virginia Campbell, 81, of Logansport passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023. She was born on August 15, 1941, to Delmar and Hazel Weaver.
Preceding Virginia in death are her husbands, Charlie Jackson and Chester Campbell; parents, Delmar and Hazel Weaver; sister, Sue Traxler; and son, Johnny Glen Bombard.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Eddie “Nub” Weaver; daughter, Jackie Jackson; sister, Delma Collins; brother, Bubba Weaver and wife, Jane; grandchildren, Jonathan Bombard and wife, Erin, Jack Payne, and Terry Payne; and great-grandchildren, Leia Bombard and Landon Payne.
Funeral services for Virginia will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Logansport Missionary Baptist Church, 1109 Main Street, Logansport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at O.E. Price Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Bro. Joe Walker. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Honoring Virginia as pallbearers will be James Leggett, Kevin Haynes, Pete Estes, Jackie Adams, Hugh Chapman, and David Remedes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations for Christmas presents to be given to Pinecrest Developmental School, where her son, “Nub”, resides. Donations will be accepted at American State Bank in Joaquin, Texas. This was Virginia’s favorite charity program.
Immediately following the burial, the family requests for all to join them for an eating meeting back at the church to celebrate the life of Virginia
