Recently, Mrs. Maria Hogan was selected to fill the Mansfield City Clerk position. Mrs. Maria is married to Mr. Jimmy Hogan, an employee of the DeSoto Parish School Board, and is a native of DeSoto Parish and currently resides in the City of Mansfield. Maria received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Grambling State University. She also has an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Bossier Parish Community College. Mrs. Hogan is a Certified Notary as well, which is a critical requirement for this position.
Before transitioning to the City, Maria was currently employed at the local Ivey Lumber Company, where she served as Accounting Clerk and managed the day-to-day operations of providing customer service, preparing reports, bookkeeping, making deposits, accounts receivables, accounts payable, daily collections, and data entry.
She currently serves as the Justice of the Peace for our district as well. Her qualifications and experience should make her a valuable asset to our team and our City.
Mrs. Maria Hogan was presented to the Council as the appointment during the City Council Meeting on March 27, 2023. She received a unanimous confirmation from the city council with welcoming applauds from the crowd attending the meeting. Please welcome Mrs. Hogan and give her your utmost support as she embarks upon this new chapter in her life.
