Logansport Chamber Updated on River City Fest

Tori Dyess, representing the River City Fest gave an update on all the festivities to the Logansport Chamber of Commerce at their meeting on May 8th.  Dyess said, “There will be rides, food trucks, dunking booth, mechanical bull, plus contests of corn hole, pie eating, beards and a car show.”

Dyess added, “There will be a parade on Friday starting at 7:00 pm at the truck stop and will end at the river front. This is the 40th year, so all are encouraged to attend to come celebrate the festival.”

Chamber President James Walker announced that the building for the chamber is now in the possession of the chamber. It will need cleaning out, painted, and repaired before anyone can start moving stuff in. Other business was that Big Zach’s has reached 10 years of business in Logansport and will celebrate with an anniversary party at the end of the month. The chamber has been asked to participate so Chamber members and the public are encouraged to show up on May 31st.

The last point of business was drawing for the door prize. Jim Barron donated 20 gift certificates for free burgers at his Whataburger store in Joaquin. Sissy Morris, Carolyn Foshee, Tabitha Fletcher, and Joellen Wilke each received 5 certificates. The next meeting will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, June 6th at the Logansport library.
