There will be a DeSoto Parish Police Jury meeting Monday, November 6, 2023 starting at 5pm. The meeting will take place in the Police Jury Meeting Room, 101 Franklin Street.

The following committees will meet: Administrative, Budget and Finance, Insurance, Solid Waste, Road, and Airport and Animal Control.

The Administrative Committee meeting items will include accepting several resignation and appointments, and rescinding the authorization for Jurors and employees hunting on any Jury property.

The Budget and Finance Committee meeting items include amending the budget to transfer $120,000 from the general fund to the Office of Community Service fund.

The Insurance committee will review and approve the best group health insurance proposal from the Insurance Broker.

The Solid Waste committee will discuss two items–approve quote for scrap pickup and approve Change Order No. 1 for the Borrow Area Preparations for $93500 to increase the quantities.

The Road committee will vote to authorize the President to sign Change Order for road drainage improvements on Charlie Jones, Daw, Mounce, and Nash Roads.

The Airport and Animal Control committee will discuss to authorize the President to sign the State Project No. H015175 Obstruction Removal Runway 36 Approach Phase III.
