The DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public that its online inmate roster is temporarily unavailable due to a technical issue affecting the agency’s website and mobile app.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the inmate roster has not updated since July 14 because of a synchronization problem between the department’s app and website.

Officials said the issue is being addressed by developers, although the timeline for the repair is outside of the Sheriff’s Office’s control. The system is expected to be restored sometime this week.

The Sheriff’s Office noted that the inmate roster typically receives approximately 30,000 views each day, underscoring its popularity as a public information resource.

Public Information Officer Mark Pierce asked residents for their patience while the issue is resolved and said there is no need to contact the Sheriff’s Office for updates, as officials will announce when the online roster is fully operational again.

The Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for its understanding as work continues to restore the service.
