The DeSoto Council on Aging and DeSoto Parish Sheriff Department will host a Senior Fun Day on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, for area residents ages 60 and older.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DeSoto Parish Sheriff Facility, located at 120 Sprockett Lane in Grand Cane.

Senior Fun Day will feature door prizes, bingo, guest speakers and lunch.

Guest speakers will include Gina Martinez, an outreach representative with the Attorney General’s Office, and Dr. Richie Bell, a statewide insurance agent.

Transportation will also be available for those who need a ride to the event. Seniors who would like to schedule transportation should contact the DeSoto Council on Aging Transportation Department at 318-872-2270.

Lunch will be served during the event.
