ICED/CLOSED ROADWAYS UPDATE

The following roadways and bridges have been reported by dispatchers to be a danger due to Ivey conditions. Please be mindful while driving and pay attention to any/all over passes and bridges.

  • TRENTON RD. OVERPASS
  • HWY 175 at NEW BRIDGE
  • DOUBLE BRIDGES BY NASH ON 171
  • HWY 175 SOUTH by JANEAR CIRCLE

Fire District #1 at Logansport issued this advisory:

Please be cautious on the LA/TX bridge in Logansport. We have already had several cars sliding on the ice.

Here is the revised forecast from the National Weather Service Shreveport office:

Today – A slight chance of snow and freezing drizzle before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight – Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 23. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 49. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

Saturday Night – Clear, with a low around 27. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming southeast after midnight.
