A memorial mass celebrating the life of Tanya LaHood Dufour, 71, of Mansfield, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mansfield, Louisiana with Reverend Father Matthew Long, Reverend Father John Paul Crispin, and Deacon Bill Kleinpeter officiating.
Tanya entered into rest on May 4, 2022, in Mansfield, Louisiana. She was born on May 18, 1950, in Tyler, Texas to Joseph C. and Elizabeth Zwan LaHood.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was dedicated to her husband Donnie, and they were wonderfully blessed with 50 years of marriage. She loved her children, their spouses, and grandchildren (who affectionately knew her as ‘Sitti’) with an unwavering devotion. She never missed events for her babies whether ball games, soccer, cheer competitions, or grandparents’ day. In her little spare time, she enjoyed watching her daytime soaps, Golden Girls, and Blake Shelton on The Voice. Tanya supported the family businesses LaHood’s Mobile Homes and Zwan-LaHood LLC. She held a special place in her heart for church family in the Catholic faith at St. Joseph’s Church, where she always enjoyed serving as a Lector at Sunday Mass. Friends fondly remember her natural warmness to all and her gracious hospitality, particularly her amazing traditional Lebanese cooking.
Tanya is preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Donnie Dufour; sons, Adam Dufour, and partner, Nickos Paltalidis, Peyton Dufour and wife, Kristen; daughter, Jordan Quinn, and husband, Joey; sister, Tamam LaHood; nephew, Aaron Jackson, and wife, Alison; grandchildren, Brooks Quinn, Camille Quinn, Emerson Dufour, Benjamin Dufour, and her namesake Collins Leigh Quinn; great-nephews Will, Sam, and Charlie Jackson; and sister-in-law Sarah Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 305 Jefferson St, Mansfield, LA 71052, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, an organization Tanya felt strongly about. The family would like to thank the ladies of St. Joseph’s Altar Society, St. Joseph’s Men’s Club, relatives, and dear friends for all their outpouring of love and support.
