DeSoto Parish is once again under a Parishwide ban on all outdoor burning. The ban was issued Tuesday by Police Jury President Ernel Jones.
DeSoto joins other northwest Louisiana parishes including Natchitoches and Red River that are under similar burn bans. There has not been adequate rainfall recently and that is cited as the reason for Jones to issue the burn ban.
