Graveside services celebrating the life of Amelia Joyce “Susie” Sonnier, 74, of Keatchie, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Smyrna Cemetery, Grand Cane, Louisiana. Chaplain Kendall Holley will be officiating.

Amelia was born November 7, 1947, to Jessie and Mildred Lagene Shockley McElveen in Bastrop, Louisiana, and entered into rest on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, after a brief illness.

Preceding Amelia in death were her parents, and brother, Kenneth Ray Shockley. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years, Robert Lee Sonnier; daughter, Regina Sonnier; grandson, Joey Sonnier; granddaughter, Stacie Sonnier; and great-grandson, Cooper Hutchins.
